Pouch Body (Main Bag)
Round 1:
Ch 23. Starting in the 3rd ch from hook, work 20 dc. Turn.
Ch 2, 19 dc, inc in last st. Turn.
Rounds 2–11:
Ch 2, 44 dc evenly around. Join with sl st. Do not turn.
Round 12 (Edge):
(ch 3, sl st into next st) rep around.
Camellia Flower
Round 1:
Ch 73. Starting in the 5th ch from hook, rep (dc, ch 1, sl st) across chain.
Round 2:
Turn work. In one ch-1 space work 6 dc, skip next ch-1 space. Rep across. Fasten off, leaving a long
tail for sewing.
Leaf (Make 2)
Ch 10. Starting in 2nd ch from hook, work along one side:
sl st, sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc, sl st.
Continue on the opposite side of the foundation chain with the same stitches. Fasten off.Drawstring Cord
Ch 70. Fasten off. Weave cord through Round 10 of pouch opening. Pull both ends to close bag.
Decorative Heart (Optional)
Make a magic ring. Work into ring:
ch 2, 3 dc, 3 tr, ch 2, 3 tr, 3 dc, ch 2, sl st. Fasten off.
Finishing
Sew camellia flower and leaves onto pouch front. Secure all yarn ends. Block lightly if desired.
